The vibrant spirit of community and culture will come alive at Multifest 2025, taking place on Saturday, 20 September 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Walter Nash Centre, Taita, Lower Hutt.

Hutt Multicultural Council (HMC) organises Multifest which is a free, family-friendly festival that brings together the many cultures of Aotearoa in a celebration of diversity, unity, and shared identity. Hosted in one of the region’s most inclusive community hubs, the event invites people of all backgrounds to come together for a day of connection and celebration.

Attendees can look forward to:

• Live music and dance performances representing various cultural traditions

• A wide range of cultural food stalls offering global flavours

• Arts, crafts, and cultural displays

• Interactive activities for children and families

“Multifest is more than just an event, it is a celebration of who we are as a community,” says Winsome Lam, President HMC. Anita Mansell, Life Member and Coordinator Multifest 2025 noted “It’s about recognising the richness of our cultural identities while creating space for connection and understanding.”
