We're always looking for new people to join us. If you're passionate about promoting and celebrating cultural diversity in Lower Hutt, we'd love to hear from you.
Community Meetings:
Join us at one of our Community Meetings to find out more about different events and services in Lower Hutt. Our meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm at the War Memorial Library. Sign up to our email list (on the right) to receive any meeting updates. Our meetings usually involve one or two guest speakers talking about their organisation or upcoming event, followed by a chance to connect with members of other multicultural communities and share a light supper.
Join our Women’s Group:
Regular gatherings of our Multicultural Women's Group will begin on Thursday 26th March at Pomare Taita Community House. The group meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7pm, and each session will include an activity or guest speaker.
Community Drop-In:
We run Community Drop-In sessions at the War Memorial Library on the second Thursday of the month, and at Pomare Taita Community House on the fourth Monday of the month. Both sessions run from 10am to 11am. Head along to kōrero with us regarding the work of Hutt Multicultural Council, or ask for support to connect with an ethnic community or appropriate support services in Lower Hutt.
Become a Member:
Complete our membership form to become an individual or organisation member. By becoming a Member you are able to vote or stand for election to the Executive Committee at our Annual General Meeting in August.
